It is my firm belief that every single one of my students has the ability to not only achieve, but to excel to the highest extent that they desire. It is my purpose, and passion to enable this aspiration to become an actualization each and every day that my students walk into my classroom! In an effort to achieve this objective, I recall an old Native American saying I once heard that states, “Tell me and I’ll forget. Show me, and I may not remember. Involve me, and I’ll understand.” Daily I strive for an open, encouraging, and supportive environment in which my students are willing to take risks, and dare to ask questions and discover new things! My classroom boasts of a fun and inviting atmosphere where learning is truly an adventure. I sincerely value the opportunity to teach, and am having a fantastic year in 5th grade!
I graduated from the University of South Florida with a Master's Degree in Educational Leadership, as well as a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education. This is my twelfth year teaching, and my ninth year teaching at McKeel Elementary Academy. I believe that every student has the ability to achieve, and through my personal education, and dedication I strive to equip my students with the appropriate tools necessary to be the most successful students they can be!
